About State 48 Autohaus
State 48 Autohaus is a family owned independent European auto repair shop in Phoenix built around specialized experience, honest communication, and personal care.
Meet Steve & Becky
State 48 Autohaus is owned and operated by Steve and Becky Goodwillie and their family. Together, they built the shop around expert European vehicle care, honest communication, personal relationships, and treating customers like people instead of repair orders.
Their goal is simple: create the kind of independent European repair experience they would want for their own family.
Why State 48 Autohaus Was Created
After years working in European automotive service, Steve and Becky wanted to build something of their own: a shop where specialized European knowledge and personal relationships could exist together.
Their plans were put on hold in 2022 while Becky battled cancer. With Becky now in remission, the family returned to their shared goal and created State 48 Autohaus around integrity, expertise, family, and genuine care for their community.
Today, State 48 offers Phoenix European vehicle owners an independent alternative to dealership service with experienced care and direct, understandable communication.
More Than Two Decades of Specialized Experience
Steve's European automotive career began with dual associate degrees and top honors at WyoTech. He was recruited by BMW of North America, completed BMW training in New Jersey, and went on to gain BMW Master Technician experience.
His career also includes dealership service, dealership leadership, and independent automotive repair experience. That background helped shape the technical standards and customer focused approach behind State 48 Autohaus.
